In order to help support her family she worked as a maid in the farm owner's mansion until she seriously wounded the owner's son when she retaliated against his beatings. At some point she eventually joined the Annex Project.

Given her comment when facing an exceptionally muscular Terraformar she seems to find muscular men attractive.

Unfortunately, despite her being the second most skilled fighter in her squad after Adolf, as well as being a martial artist master of the capoeira style and previously being shown to easily take on and ferociously kill multiple roaches by herself, she would meet her tragic end when facing off against a particularly muscular roach warrior that she was ironically turned on by.
