Plagiarism isn't exclusive to AI and it's been present for a long time in different fields - music, art, researches, etc. There's literally nothing anyone can do anything about it, so why bother worrying about it in the first place?
And yeah, you just did exactly that, so you ARE a part of the problem now.

Not giving credit is bad form, yes, but if you don't want the leeches, do no releases. It's really that simple. If you decide to release because you want the ego boost that it gives, then accept the attention in all its forms, leeching or otherwise, and channel positive energy into your next project.
