Known for his tough-guy persona, Lanvin has portrayed a variety of characters in action, drama, and comedy films. He won two César Awards, the French equivalent of the Oscars, for his performances in Le Goût des autres and Les Lyonnais. His long career has made him one of the most respected actors in French cinema.
