Try lowering the weight. Max weight is good for getting the shape right, and I do that for starting an image, but it'll have a dip in quality thanks to fighting with the checkpoints image that it wants to do. If you're not going to cleanup after the initial generation, reduce the weight to 0.7-0.8 and you won't have the quality drop (at the cost of some size).
