LORA for creating battlemechs in the BAttletech style. SDXL model only knows the Mecha/Japanese style giant robots and generally always creates a similarly loooking mech. This LORA seeks to introduce mechs as they look in the Battletch universe.
The LORA distinguishes between two types of mechs: "himanoid" and "non-humanoid", prompting for one of these will produce different results (works better in simple prompts, tends to get ignored in long ones). All of the images in the dataset are prmary sources and (obviously) all are drawn art i.e. there are no photorealistic images of mechs in the dataset - therefore the images will not be hyperrealistic, though testing shows SDXL makes a good job adapting the mech concept to different styles.
Things to remember: theis LORA has no idea about the scale of battlemechs, so use words like Huge, Giant etc in the prompt to make the right composition. The LORA doesn't know individual mech models (like Atlas or Catapult), so don't even try. The LORA doesn't know anything about mech armaments, but it can sometimes give you good results because SDXL knows "cannon" and "missile pod". There are no damaged battlemechs in the dataset, so the LORA will not produce anything but standing/walking intact mechs (maybe you can trick it with clever prompts somehow, I didn't really try very hard).
No images from the Battletech art have been used in training, so artstyle won't bleed into the generations. This is both good and bad - good to place mechs wherever you want, bad if what you want is an image in the style of the Battletech art.
Looking forward to feedback and even requests for updates/changes. If the LORA is useful for anyone I'm probably going to improve it further according to feedback. If not - this version is good for what I needed it to do :))
