Gilliam's been my favorite director my whole life. And sadly I don't know if I really see his style shining through here. It's psychedelic and trippy and that's cool, but he's more got an ornate broke-down period vibe. Almost post-apocalyptic. Like a stage production that has too many riggings and moving pieces going nuts. In fact a lot of this style has a film grain to it that predates his film career being an early 70s style IE Willy Wonka. Much more acid drenched and whimsical.
And that's not to mention his drawing style which is also notable and distinct, if you recall the old Monty Python animations which he was responsible for.
Kind of a shame that no models or checkpoints really seem to have his ideas baked into the pie. He was one of the first styles I really wanted to delve into.
Feel like if you were using more or less just screenshots focusing in on the set design in films like Time Bandits, Brazil, and Baron Munchausen that the film style would've come out a bit more.
But still a noble effort and I thank you for it.
I LOOOOOVE Gilliam, but why is Terry himself in so many images? was the training data film grabs or from Ai gens off Midjourney?
too much Terry Gilliam in prompt ( 4 times)
The problem is there are too many real pics of Terry G in existence so the prompt doesn't know you're only asking for the style, not the person. The sytle-trainiing shouldn't use his real name so that he stays out of it. This happens to several other famous/well-photo'd people like Tarantino, Edward Gorey, & etc.
it's only a model
