The Penitent Engine is a large, bipedal combat walker used in Warhammer 40K by the Ecclesiarchy to punish heretics who have repented their sins against the God-Emperor. The engines are also used by the Orders Militant of the Adepta Sororitas as a heavy infantry fire support vehicle. The Penitent Engine is equipped with a pair of heavy flamers and either penitent buzz-saws or penitent flails. Some engines have adamantine-toothed buzz-blades that can cut through tank armor, while others have multi-headed flails that can pulverize bone and flesh. The engines also have chemical and synaptic inputs that are pumped into the pilot when they reach the enemy, causing them to see their own face in their enemies' faces.
