Gunther is a humanlike alien mutant who is originally from Krypton like Superman and was hibernating with the planet exploded. He survived the explosion and due to his hibernation his body absorbed and adapted to the radiation exposure that created green kryptonite. He is now awake and searching for the ones he believes responsible for the destruction of his home to humiliate and dominate them for revenge.
