Your example shows the classic Flux problem- the style is not applied to key elements of the image- in this case the man's face.
This seems to be a limitation of drawing styles, and not material styles- very odd. You can easily get a knitted woolen version of a person, yet in art styles, Flux always wants to amply careful delicate brush/pen/pencil strokes and shading to things like faces!
