Just hold off on buying some buzz and get yourself a Ryzen 9950X3D and RTX 5090 when they're announced at CES.

...wait, you mean you aren't spending thousands on buzz? I thought I was the only one who's recent upgrade meant going from a 2c/2t Haswell + 16GB of RAM to 4c/8t Haswell + 32GB of RAM.

@cartoonmilfhunter XD I was making a joke myself! I'm still rocking Haswell on integrated graphics.

It wasn't really hardware advice, though I mean the 5090 and 9950X3D should be announced at CES in January regardless (as a Linux user I tend to prefer AMD or Intel graphics which just happens to align with the integrated graphics vendors).

...oh, speaking of CES and integrated graphics, I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention that AMD will be launching their codenamed "Strix Halo" which is rumored to have product names Ryzen Max and Ryzen Max Pro and are basically "big APUs" kind of a lot like what the PS5 Pro has actually in terms of graphics, except with up to 16 Zen5 cores and up to 128GB of shared system+video RAM (though apparently only the 64GB and 32GB RAM models will be available at launch).
