The FV721 Fox Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle, developed in the 1970s for the British Army, was designed for rapid, stealthy reconnaissance missions. Light and agile, the Fox boasted excellent speed on and off-road, equipped with a 30mm RARDEN cannon that provided significant firepower for a vehicle of its class. However, its high center of gravity and narrow profile contributed to a significant tipping risk, particularly on uneven or sloped terrain. While its lightweight construction made it highly maneuverable, it also made the Fox prone to rollovers, especially when cornering quickly or navigating rough ground. Despite this drawback, the Fox remained an effective asset for reconnaissance, valued for its ability to quickly reach and observe enemy positions while staying under the radar, though operators had to exercise caution to avoid tipping in challenging environments.
