Tala Ashe is an Iranian-American actress best known for her role as Zari Tomaz/Zari Tarazi on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Born Talayeh Ashrafi on July 24, 1984, in Tehran, Iran, she immigrated to the U.S. as a child and was raised in Powell, Ohio. She studied acting at Boston University’s School of Theatre and trained at LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) as well as Upright Citizens Brigade for improv.

Before her breakout role in the Arrowverse, she appeared in television series like As the World Turns, Smash, and American Odyssey, as well as Off-Broadway productions. Known for her versatility, Ashe has brought both drama and humor to her performances, making her a fan-favorite in both TV and theater.
