Mona's Protogens and Visors
This lora teaches, or at least tries to, Anima about protogens and about visors.
It has two modes:
Full on protogen
Visor only, to add on any character to make a hybrid
Triggers
pr0tovisor gives you the visor on its own
pr0tovisor, pr0togen together give you the full protogen: fur mixed with armour plating over the and thighs, a segmented mechanical tail with glowing accents, digitigrade legs and paws.
The full activation cluster it was taught is:
pr0tovisor, protogen visor, glowing visor face screen, digital emoticon face
and for the full body, add:
pr0togen, protogen, armor plating and mechanical tail
Recommended weight
1.0. Anything from 0.7 to 1.2 works.
The muzzle, ah the muzzles.
This is the main thing to understand, because it is NEEDS prompting.
The visor is a three dimensional shell. It follows the shape of the head it lands on, so in profile and three quarter views you get a proper snout shaped screen with real depth, which is exactly right for the species. On a long muzzled character like a horse or a dragon it stretches into a long snout; on a short faced cat it stays rounded.
Front on, you choose how much muzzle reads through.
Softer, with the muzzle showing
This is the default and it is the look most protogen art goes for: the screen is clearly a screen, but you can still see the contour of the snout and a hint of the nose beneath the gloss. Lean into it with:
visor covering the upper half of the face, muzzle and snout visible below the visor, fur visible around the visor
Hard, fully opaque screen
If you want a solid featureless shell with nothing organic showing (like a snout), two clauses get you there at normal weight:
Add to the positive:
opaque black visor, solid featureless shell, no nose, no mouth, no whiskers, dot matrix LED display
Add to the negative:
animal nose, nose, whiskers, visible eyes, pupils, mouth, muzzle, snout, cat nose, face
You only need this on straight on close ups of short muzzled mammals like cats and wolves, where the base model's own sense of what a face looks like pushes hardest. Profiles, three quarter views, dragons, sharks, horses, humans and full body shots come out with a clean opaque screen without any of it.
Putting the visor on any species
This is what the visor trigger is for. The screen reshapes itself to whatever muzzle it lands on. Verified on wolf, fox, cat, husky, dragon, shark, rabbit, deer, otter, hyena, raccoon, horse, lizard and bat, plus human and futa bodies. Describe your character normally and lead with the visor cluster:
pr0tovisor, protogen visor, glowing visor face screen, digital emoticon face, anthro fox, solo, orange fur, white fur, wearing a green jacket, glowing cyan visor, upper body, looking at viewer, outdoors
If any plating creeps in where you wanted a plain body, negate armor plating, mechanical body, robot body, pauldrons.
Colours
white fur, cyan markings, glowing cyan visor
black fur, magenta markings, glowing magenta visor
purple fur, green markings, glowing green visor
orange fur, yellow markings, glowing yellow visor
The armour plating takes its own colour word too, for example matte black armor plating or chrome armor plating.
Stacking on a character LoRA
Worth knowing before you try it: a character LoRA will fight the visor and render your character's face through it like a shield. Let the concept win. Drop the character LoRA to about 0.75, raise this one to about 1.1, put the visor cluster at the very front of the prompt, and the visor sits on top of an otherwise on model character. For a full protogen version of your character, character 0.7 and this at 1.15 works well.
Duos
Two characters need one extra step, because the concept will otherwise spread onto your second character and give them a visor too. Describe the partner as explicitly organic, for example an ordinary anthro grey wolf male with a NORMAL organic wolf face, muzzle, eyes, fur, no visor, no armour, negate two protogens, both visors, second visor, plating on the wolf, robot wolf, and drop this LoRA to about 0.8.
Example prompts
Full protogen
pr0tovisor, protogen visor, glowing visor face screen, digital emoticon face, pr0togen, protogen, armor plating and mechanical tail, solo, full body, standing, looking at viewer, white fur, cyan markings, glowing cyan visor, sci-fi laboratory background
Visor only, on your own character
pr0tovisor, protogen visor, glowing visor face screen, digital emoticon face, visor covering the upper half of the face, muzzle and snout visible below the visor, anthro wolf, solo, grey fur, wearing a black hoodie, upper body, looking at viewer, city street background
Negative
worst quality, low quality, score_1, score_2, score_3, bad , bad hands, lowres, deformed, blurry, text, watermark, multiple tails
and for visor only shots add armor plating, mechanical body, robot body, pauldrons.
Cheat sheet
Just the mask? pr0tovisor, then describe your character as usual.
The whole species? Add pr0togen.
Want the muzzle to read through? muzzle and snout visible below the visor.
Want a hard opaque screen? Add the solid featureless shell, no nose clauses and negate animal nose, whiskers, muzzle.
Specific colour? Name the fur, the markings and the visor glow separately.
Unwanted plating? Negate armor plating, mechanical body.
Two tails? Negate multiple tails.
Stacking a character LoRA? Character 0.75, this 1.1.
