Lauren Cohan is a British-American actress and model, born on January 7, 1982, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She is best known for her role as Maggie Greene (later Maggie Rhee) on the AMC television series The Walking Dead, which she joined in 2011 and continued to portray until 2022. Cohan has also had recurring roles on popular TV shows such as The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Chuck. Her film debut was in Casanova (2005) as Sister Beatrice, followed by roles in Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj (2006) and Death Race 2 (2010).

Cohan moved to the United Kingdom as a teenager and graduated from the University of Winchester, where she studied Drama and English Literature. She co-founded a theatre company at the university and split her time between London and Los Angeles, working on various film and television projects. In addition to her role on The Walking Dead, Cohan starred in the supernatural-horror film The Boy (2016) and appeared as Martha Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). She also played Frankie Trowbridge in the TV series Whiskey Cavalier (2019).
