She started out with quirky alt prog band The Gathering before going solo (under her name and the Agua de Annique moniker), and also forming the band Vuur. She has guested on more songs than I can even count (from Amorphis and Devin Townsend to Moonspell and even Napalm Death) and all of them are worth a listen.
