She is widely recognized for her roles as Dr. Allison Cameron in the medical drama House and Emma Swan in the fantasy series Once Upon a Time. Jennifer began her career in acting as a child, appearing in commercials and magazine spreads, including Sports Illustrated alongside Michael Jordan when she was just ten years old.

    She pursued higher education at Loyola University Chicago, earning a degree in Theatre with a minor in English. She also trained at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company before launching her professional career in Hollywood. Her breakthrough came with her role in House, which earned her widespread acclaim. Additionally, she has starred in films like Star Trek (2009) and Warrior (2011) and directed her first feature film, Sun Dogs, in 2017.
