It is reliably known that Moonzy hatched from an egg, like modern reptiles. However, Moonzy considers himself to be one of the bees, specifically, a moon bee. Contrary to this, Moonzy has nothing in common with bees. He has different coloration, a larger build and consequently more weight, and he lacks wings. Moonzy himself is completely covered in purple fur, including his torso, head, arms, legs, ears, and nose. Moonzy has two legs and two arms. Unlike insects, Moonzy has something resembling double ears instead of antennae, which further diminishes any resemblance Moonzy might have to bees, or to insects in general. Moonzy has one large spot on his belly and several smaller ones nearby, which together resemble the shape of a footprint. There is another spot on his forehead and two smaller ones on his cheeks; all the spots are a darker shade than the rest of his fur. He has barely noticeable lilac hair styled in a crew cut. At the back, there is a small tail, the same color as Moonzy's entire body. It is unknown how, but Moonzy somehow can breathe both underwater and even in outer space, which is why he often visits the pond's inhabitants.
