House Cawdor is one of the most feared and fanatical factions within the hive world of Necromunda. Known as the "Scavenger Cult," its members are devout adherents to the Cult of the Redemption—a brutal splinter of the Imperial Creed that worships fire, martyrdom, and the purging of sin through suffering. Their gangers are clad in rags and relics, wrapped in patchwork robes, rope bindings, and makeshift armor scavenged from industrial ruin. Every Cawdor warrior hides their face behind masks—often wax-dripped and grotesquely styled—as a symbol of humility, zeal, or anonymity in the eyes of their god. Candles, chains, and rusted weapons are common adornments, each gang member carrying the physical and symbolic scars of their convictions.
Life in House Cawdor is one of extreme poverty and relentless religious indoctrination. Their weapons are often scrap-built, duct-taped and wired into working order by crude means—bolters, flamers, stubbers, and crossbows are wielded with religious fervor rather than technical skill. Cawdor’s devotion extends beyond the battlefield: they scour the underhive for relics, burn heretics, and even flagellate themselves in acts of ritual purification. Though often dismissed as madmen or trash-dwellers by the other Houses, their unshakable faith, sheer numbers, and unflinching willingness to die for their beliefs make them one of the most dangerous forces lurking beneath Necromunda’s surface.
