Alex Kingston is a British actress best known for her role as River Song in Doctor Who. Born on March 11, 1963, in Epsom, Surrey, England, she has had a diverse acting career spanning television, film, and stage.

Career Highlights:

• River Song in Doctor Who (2008–2015, with appearances in spin-off media): A time-traveling archaeologist with a mysterious connection to the Doctor, later revealed to be his wife. River's story was told in a nonlinear fashion, making her one of the most intriguing characters in the series.
