SMOOTH EMBEDDINGS
This is a set of quality enhancing embeddings for NoobAI, Illustrious/SDXL and Pony models.
No need for more quality prompts. They should be enough for getting great results!
I recommend using both positive and negative embeddings together.
NoobAI Checkpoints
Smooth Positive NoobAI / Smooth Negative NoobAI
Recommended only for NoobAI trained models since these embeddings use some tokens that are only recognized by NoobAI Checkpoints.
Can be very aggressive so don't use it together with a gigantic wall of prompts, specially when using the negative embedding.
So use:
SmoothNoob_Qualityon your Positive Prompt for NoobAI ModelsSmoothNoob_Negativeon your Negative Prompt for NoobAI Models
Illustrious Checkpoints
Smooth Pos. Illustrious (+) / Smooth Neg. Illustrious
Recommended for Illustrious trained models. It gives great quality while adding gorgeous lighting effects.
Smooth Pos. Illustrious+ is much less aggressive on lighting effects now so it should give you more control over prompts that influence light.
So use:
Smooth Qualityon your Positive Prompt for Illustrios/SDXL ModelsSmooth Negativeon your Negative Prompt for Illustrios/SDXL Models
Pony Checkpoints
Smooth Pos. Pony / Smooth Neg. Pony
Recommended for Pony trained models.
These embeddings use most tokens related to quality for Pony Checkpoints, so use only on those.
So use:
SmoothQualityPonyon your Positive Prompt for Pony ModelsSmoothNegativePonyon your Negative Prompt for Pony Models
There are a lot of high quality Embeddings on the site already, feel free to use as many others as you want together with these.
EXTRA: SMOOTH NEGATIVE HANDS
We all agree that Hands are ANNOYING to make on AI art.
After getting a few messages asking what prompts/embeddings to use to fix hands I decided to make a Negative Embedding for it.
Its very light and should not affect the quality or style of your image in anyway.
It uses tokens of NoobAI, Illustrious and Pony models so use it with any Checkpoint you want.
Its not a 100% fool proof. Results will vary depending on what combinations of Loras and Checkpoints you are using.
So use:
SmoothNegative_Handson your Negative Prompt on any NoobAI, Illustrios or Pony Models
Have Fun!

Don't worry. It should be ready later today. ;)
I have a weird problem with the positive embedding. I'm using ComfyUI, your checkpoint (Smooth Mix - Illustrious), your embedding (Smooth Quality - Illustrious), and nothing else. And every time I generate an image, it's heavily biased towards a certain girl (maybe it's a well known anime character, I'm pretty much ignorant in this area so I don't know). She looks like this: https://civitai.com/images/50782909, and especially her hair ornaments (those that look like a white flower with some black cloth under it) show up everywhere, no matter which character I try to generate. It only happens when the positive embedding is active (it doesn't matter whether the negative embedding is active or not). And I would really like to use it, because otherwise it really improves the quality of the images, so please help me if you can.
Thank you for the feedback. I will try to replicate this and see if I can solve it.
Thank you! Also I found the character, it's this one: https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/Illustrious
Perhaps it has something to do with Illustrious being the name of the base model...
@PawelS You nailed it. It seems that ComfyUI is reading the prompt word for word, so when it reads "Illustrious" it tries to create that character. That does not happen when using Stable Diffusion reForge. lol
I changed the file name of the embedding and boom... problem solved. Try changing the embedding file name for something else and use it. It should work. I updated the file names to prevent that from happening for others. Goddamn ComfyUI... sigh
@Qvoheu It worked, thank you!
All versions were updated. If you downloaded any of them before, try downloading it again to avoid any problems.
Really great work, does wonders when using your Smooth Mix checkpoint and hugely helps with other illustrious checkpoints as well
I wonder if vagina blood and penis blood is in the negative prompts, too difficult to generate defloration pictures
In your written description it says the Illu trigger words are:
"Smooth Quality"
"Smooth Negative"
In your details for smooth, it matches with that.
But in your details on negative you have both
"Smooth Negative" and
"Smooth Negative-neg"
And when I check your own images, you use
"Smooth Quality - Illustrious" and
"Smooth Negative- Illustrious"
I'm a little confused. Which trigger is the correct ones if you don't use the written triggers yourself?
Originally it was "Smooth Quality - Illustrious" and "Smooth Negative- Illustrious" but using that in ComfyUI was causing problems so I changed to "Smooth Quality" and "Smooth Negative" to avoid that. You can check PawelS post right here on the discussions.
"Smooth Negative-neg" is just something that civitai creates by itself so you don't need to worry about that one.
So just use "Smooth Quality" and "Smooth Negative" and you should be fine.
Thanks for the explenations!
@Hyokkuda Hello, do you know why i get like
```
got prompt
warning, embedding:Smooth Quality_1371904, 1girl, solo, does not exist, ignoring
warning, embedding:Smooth Quality_1371904, 1girl, solo, does not exist, ignoring
```
Error in comfyUI?
@Fuckzen, I am not using ComfyUI outside of AI Videos, but that error in ComfyUI usually means that the embeddings (or textual inversions) referenced in the prompt do not exist in the embeddings folder or are incorrectly named.
Go to your ComfyUI/models/embeddings/ folder, then make sure that Smooth Quality_1371904 exists.
If you recently added the embedding file while ComfyUI was open, go to the Edit menu on top then select Refresh Node Definition. You can also restart ComfyUI to reload everything.
I hope this helps!
So, I will copy and paste what I explained for the Easy Negative Embedding.
Just to be clear, there is no such thing as a "true" trigger word for embeddings—it’s simply whatever the file name is. There’s nothing specific you need to remember or do. You can rename the textual inversion file to whatever you want, and it will still work the same way. This is not like LoRA, which sometimes requires a trigger word to work.
You just need to add it to your positive or negative prompts depending on its purpose, and it will function as expected.
I always rename mine to something like "Smooth Negative Embedding" so that anyone using my prompts or parameters can easily understand what it is.
Also, on a side note, embeddings do not have to be at the beginning of the prompt like most people says. They work anywhere in the prompt, just like any other token. However, placing them at the beginning might give them more influence depending on how the model and sampler process the prompt.
I hope this helps!
Overall, these are great embeddings. The SmoothNegative works well across styles like cartoony and anime realism. The SmoothPositive also works well, but it does seem to slightly alter cartoony styles to become slightly more anime realistic, but id say its worth it since it greatly improves lighting, shadows, and details.
Please try the newest version and see it there are any changes! =)
@Qvoheu Ok the new one is exactly what I expected for a positive embedding. Works well with the old negative embedding and doesn't have any drastic effects on styles or overpowering lighting like the old one. 👍
