@eurotaku By the way, is it possible to exclude re-uploads from creator ranking because it doesn't seem fair to other creators who want to be on the leaderboard? (like adding a toggle button to confirm the originalities of models) Despite it is a good thing that people reupload models from other sources to help out the community and that saved me some time to discover new stuffs, I don't think re-uploadeds should be counted into the rank. Otherwise, even I can easily make a super account by moving models from HF

@Maximizer00 personally i don't think that's necessary, as i wouldn't want to discourage people from sharing models from huggingface here on civitai, especially if it's the original author doing this. but that's just my personal opinion, what about posting your feedback on our feature request board? other users may upvote it, comment on it, and our team may come to a different conclusion than me :)

Just to clarify, the originality I talked about is different from exclusivity. So it doesn't apply to origianl creators. Imho It simply doesn’t seem fair for people who make their content to compete with reuploaders. That will also discourage original creators to make their own contents, as it is at least 20x more effort required than finding existing resources, even without considering the amount of money and time they spent.

Another idea is to have reuploaded models in another category just like XL models. I will add that to feature request.

This entire technology is built without the consent of creators. We're past that point. I do think mentioning the creator would be nice though.

@Polygon yeah, I do agree with you. but as far as I know, lots of japanese and chinese creators do have their own accounts on this site, just not updating as regularly as on huggingface. it is always better to at least confirm with them first as they probably want to share the models themselves A large portion of SD was trained with copyrighted images, yes, but not entirely. there are still many creators make their own datasets.. especially for these untypical models that require using unconventional training scripts, creators might need to spend a lot of time to write their original code and prepare original data.

@harmonicdiffusion Sorry if I upset you, I didn't accuse you did it on purpose. I also didn't tell you to stop re-uploading, imho, it is just basic manner to give original creators some salut.

..when you don't mention the original creators, people automatically assume that you made what you uploaded. That is not cool because even if they don't mind their models being distributed, I don't think they also don't mind other people instead of themselves getting all the credits.

But eventually, you did a good thing by correcting the mistakes. Thank you very much for spreading the information about these models! these models are awesome.
