Been exploring high-resolution dynamic video outpainting in ComfyUI, using WAN 2.2 together with Qwen Mage Edit 2509 — a setup that lets you flexibly change aspect ratios while maintaining strong visual coherence and detail.

With the new subgraph system and dynamic widgets, the workflow feels far more streamlined and modular, which makes scaling to high-res production environments surprisingly smooth.

The VACE 2.2 modules still have limitations — context handling isn’t fully reliable yet (21:9 formats remain problematic) — but the underlying potential is impressive. Hopefully we’ll eventually see a properly trained weight release.
