Hello people of Civitai!
This is a workflow I created to help you create even more effective "Checkpoint merges" making the whole process more straightforward, fun and much more accurate.
Remember, you can turn ON and OF specific Groups by "Right Click" + "Set Group Nodes to Always" or "Never"
NEW: I've added external Global Values to all type of merge to grant you the ability to use unexpected values higher than 1.0 or lower than 0.0.
With this feature you can now highlight the differences between the model in a less destructive way than using the usual subtraction.SimpleMerge
Here you can simply create 3 different merges with different values between the models.
LowMix - 70% Primary Model / 30% Secondary Model
MidMix - 50% Primary Model / 50% Secondary Model
LowMix - 30% Primary Model / 70% Secondary Model
MergeBlock
Here you can create 6 different merges where the result will be the Primary Model with some specific slides. The different slices of the secondary model are defined by the Color of each section, to help you recognize where is the "Sauce" of each version.
CustomMerge
This is simply an area where you can choose the specific value of the merge, in order to create a custom merge with specific values.
Why is this important?
The simple merge of two models entirely mixed with each other, tends to "flatten" the results - after all, in which direction can you move, in that case, if not in simple midpoints between the two models we chose to mix with each other?
MergeBlock allows you to "slice" a model and mix only certain slices of the secondary model into the primary model.
Don't worry - the workflow might seem scary at first glance, but the only thing you have to do is choose your primary model, the secondary model, activate the groups you need and launch!
Naturally, I then advise you to test all the resulting models using the same Seed and the same settings every time. If you've never tried this system, I'm sure you'll be amazed at how drastic the differences will be.
If you want a lighter effect, you can increase all three values within the "Weights" group.
