After fiddling with settings for several days, I think I found something that works as well as Chroma is capable of without getting into the workflow black arts.
It's a slow workflow because Chroma is slow. However, it can give really good results.
Designed to work with 16GB of VRAM. May work with less.
Includes Ultimate SD Upscale and FaceDetailer with optional toggles to turn it on and off.
Suggested Settings for V2:
CFG: 1
Steps: 20
Sampler: DEIS_2M
Scheduler: Beta57
Description
This workflow is now designed to work with Chroma-Flash-Heun Rank 128 and Lenovo UltraReal.
DEIS_2m/Beta57 combo is giving good results and it's what I would suggest sticking with for realism.
Also added manual FaceDetailer logic, since the ImpactPack FaceDetailer didn't allow Beta57 scheduler.

Consider Ultimate SD Upscale dead, long live SeedVR upscaling.
SeedVR is a good upscaler, for sure. But it can be quite heavy for some systems.
@ChillDesire Counterpoint... Ultimate SD is far too slow and needs to be balanced all the time between making shit up and sharpening details you want to keep.
@vekovi8038713dsdsds You're not wrong. I may add SeedVR at some point, but I don't understand it the best currently and the tradeoffs between the FP16 vs FP8 vs 7B vs 3B models. My goal with my workflows is to keep them light and accessible while giving good quality results.
@ChillDesire Tested SeedVR upscaling a few days ago and its really amazing!
@CyclopsGER I've been playing with it a bit as well and incorporated it in a few of my workflows.
However, I still admit I don't know a ton about the best settings. What have you found to work well?
@ChillDesire FP16, the others aren't nearly as good
