"Wait, doesn't Klein already know how to use depth maps?"

Sort of. Not really. It's inconsistent at best and there's no control over the strength that you get with a real controlnet. This LoKR aims to address that.

Trained with an experimental "double sided depth" technique using Perceptual LoRA Toolkit, which conditions the training on both a depth reference and a custom perceptual depth loss.

This is preliminary version and is trained on only 550 images. It should be able to handle a good range of scenarios requiring only short prompt guidance for things like specific clothing, setting, etc. I made it mostly to address Flux's anatomy and pose problems, and it is trained entirely on human subjects. It should also be able to handle non-human subjects to a point.

You will probably get watermarks in some images. I am trying to put together a cleaner dataset, but depth loss punishes you if you have watermarks. Having even a few will get baked into the model.

Use at strength 0.3 - 1.3 depending on how closely you want to match the reference. I recommend starting at 1.

You may also add other reference images, though this may give unexpected results. Try using other references at 0.1 megapixel to start and work up as larger references can overpower the depth reference.

The images in the gallery have Comfy workflows embedded with nodes that will create depth maps from images you provide.

You may optionally add a background removal node if you have images with backgrounds that enter the depth map.

The pictures are in jpeg format. Comfy cant find the Workflow from jpeg images. They have to be PNG for us to drag and drop them into Comfy to get your workflow

Are you trying to copy with a right click? You need to do "Save as" instead. Copy kills the metadata.

You also need to be on the image page itself by clicking the image. If you do it from the gallery it will save as a webp.

F2k allegedly had build in depth control, but didn't. this works great. thumbs up. :)

i found just using a depth map as a of original image did the job ok without a lora, did you notice much of a differnce or just more consistent?

ig it depends how your prompt lines up with the depth map and what you generate. i tried some simple background generation before. i rendered just a shot of a couch and the camera angle prompt derailed the depth map. this is way more controlled than the default f2k dc.

You definitely trained this on pr0n right? It's WAYYYYY too good when combined with SNOFS.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Could you please explain a little more specifically how to use this LoRA?

Does using this LoRA mean that it can create a depth map image?
Or does it mean that if I load a prepared depth map image into the Klein workflow, Klein analyzes the structure of the depth map and then generates a better anatomical image according to the prompt?

How exactly is it supposed to be used?

I’m asking because I have never used depth maps before.

Also, is it possible to combine two images together — one being a depth map pose image and the other being a reference image of a person?

    What I mean is:

depth map pose image + reference image of a person = output with the reference person in the depth map pose

    Does it work like that?

Easiest way to get started is to open one of the main gallery images and right click -> Save as... on an image, then drag that image into ComfyUI. It will pop open a workflow that created the image. You will probably have to install a couple custom nodes, one of which will take your reference image and turn it into a depth map. That depth map then becomes the reference image instead. The LoRA does not create the depth map - it is just trained using depth maps to get better structure about the training data.

Yes you can combine with a second or third reference image. However, it is not trained with multiple references and your other references may overpower the depth map. If so, try turning up the LoRA strength or reducing the resolution of the reference images. The standard Comfy Flux nodes don't support reference image strength unfortunately. I might make some custom nodes to do that.
