In the 1960's and 70's, while western fantasy was putting out excellent painters like Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo and Michael Whelan, Japan was making its mark as well. Two particularly stand-out artists from this era are Jun Suemi (末弥純, Suemi Jun) and Shinobu Tanno (丹野忍, Tanno Shinobu), whose styles are a wonderful blend of classical painting and modern illustration.

Suemi and Tanno's works are similar enough that I decided to create a sort of spice blend of them in the Illu days, and it worked out pretty well, so here it is for Anima. I went with the standard "medium" size here to better ensure the painterliness is preserved.

USE

• Main trigger is suem1-tann0

• Strength = 1 works; maybe stronger for more overpowering checkpoints

• Sampler: euler ancestral, normal

• Any checkpoint that compliments a painterly, textured look is best (Base does a perfectly good job, as does Ramthrust), though other styles look cool with it too

• Generic quality tags are not recommended, but it's your life

• You can use tags like traditional media, painting \(medium\), canvas \(texture\) but they're not really necessary

• That said, fine art parody is a fun tag to use

• Has a bias towards wide shots, easily solvable with standard framing tags

• Has a bias towards tall, slender anatomies; feel free to weight up short
