Place Text Behind — 3-in-1 ComfyUI Workflow
Place styled text behind a person or other foreground object.
A flexible workflow for creating posters, thumbnails, advertisements and other compositions where text appears behind the main subject.
The workflow provides three different ways to create the foreground mask:
🎯 Three Masking Methods
RMBG — automatic background removal.
Best for images with a clearly defined main subject.
SAM3 — targeted segmentation.
Enter a prompt such as woman, man, car, etc. when you need to specify exactly which object should remain in front of the text.
Manual Masking — paint the mask yourself.
A reliable fallback for difficult silhouettes, hair, overlapping objects or when automatic methods don't produce a clean result.

Choose whichever method works best for your image.
✨ Text Styling
The workflow uses Simple Text Overlay, with control over font, size, color, stroke, shadow, position, rotation, skew, perspective, spacing, opacity, blending and text background.

⚡ Preview Before Running
You don't need to run the entire workflow every time you change the text.
Load your image.
Enter your text in Simple Text Overlay.
Adjust the typography and position.
Use Execute Selected Output Nodes on the Preview node.
When the result looks right, press Run to process the complete workflow.
This saves processing time while experimenting with the text.
📐 Resolution
The workflow uses Z-Image Resolution Picker for image and resolution preparation.

🚀 Quick Start
Load Image → Choose Masking Method → Enter Text → Preview → Adjust → Run
If RMBG works — use it.
If you need more precise selection — use SAM3.
If automatic masking fails — paint the mask manually.
