WaiDetail XL is a detail-boosted variant of WAI-illustrious built with an add-difference merge.

Recipe: WAI-illustrious-SDXL (v17) + 0.25 x (NoobAI-XL-v1.1 - SDXL-base-1.0), applied to the UNet only. VAE and text encoder are inherited from WAI-illustrious.

Why this works: NoobAI-XL is itself a fine-tune of Illustrious, so the difference between NoobAI and the SDXL base carries extra line clarity and micro-detail instead of dragging in a whole different art style. You keep WAI's composition, color and prompt adherence, and gain finer hair strands, fabric folds and cleaner edges.

[Recommended settings] Sampler DPM++ 2M or DDIM, 28-32 steps, CFG 7-7.5, 832x1216, bf16. Use hires fix (1.5x) for maximum crispness.
