Automatic checking and restoration of libraries and plugins; displays all plugin updates and the libraries required for plugin operation.
Why is this even necessary? It’s simple. I don’t trust the manager and prefer to install everything manually, knowing exactly what I’m installing and how. That’s precisely what these batch files are for: they show me what’s on the system, the version numbers, what needs to be installed, and what conflicts exist.
Place all files in the ComfyUI_windows_portable folder.
check_versions.bat – Checks for newer versions of all plugins in the custom_nodes folder.
Creates a version_report.txt file in the same folder where check_versions.bat is located.
The report file also lists plugins that were installed without using Git.
check_versions.ps1 – The main PowerShell script required for check_versions.bat to function; do not modify.
check_dependencies.bat – Checks plugin dependencies (verifies libraries required for plugin operation). Upon completion, it creates a dependencies_report.txt file in the same location.
Keep in mind that the report file will always list unresolved dependencies. Do not rush to install everything indiscriminately, as this could lead to disastrous results. Missing dependencies are perfectly normal, as many of them are "lazy" dependencies required only when you actually add a specific node!
In any case, if something goes wrong, the manager will display "IMPORT FAILED"—that is the time to install the necessary library.
check_dependencies.ps1 – Also required for operation.
check_libs.bat – Creates three files:
all_libs_report.txt – Shows the versions of all ComfyUI libraries.
outdated_report.txt – Indicates whether newer library versions are available.
env_snapshot_20261014_213853.txt – A critical file! It is needed to roll back the system in the event of a ComfyUI crash. Use the command python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install -r env_snapshot_20261014_213853.txt to restore all libraries to the state they were in when this file was created.
And a bonus: install_all_nodes.bat – Automatically clones all the plugins you need into the custom_nodes folder. Run this only from within the custom_nodes folder.
The install_all_nodes.bat file comes in handy if you frequently reinstall ComfyUI. Open it in any text editor and update the repository links for the plugins you need.
Keep in mind that this only performs the cloning process; installing libraries, submodules, etc., is a separate matter.
