All-in-One Wildcard, LoRA & Checkpoint Manager with ComfyUI Image Generation for Krea 2 and SDXL (including Pony, Illustrious and NoobAI)

Wildcards Manager was developed to simplify the management of large and complex Dynamic Prompts wildcard collections. What started as a visual wildcard editor has evolved into a comprehensive manager for Wildcards and a Civitai browser and download manager for LoRAs and Checkpoints. It also features a full Prompt Library management and Image Generation using a versatile yet customizable ComfyUI workflow.

Whether you have a handful of wildcard files or thousands of interconnected prompts, Wildcards Manager helps you keep everything organized, identify problems, explore dependencies, and streamline your image-generation workflow.

If you need additional help, read the DOCUMENTATION, or I invite you to feed and ask your preferred AI (ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Grok/Qwen/Etc.) using this file here AI SUPPORT (or copy-paste the link).

⭐ PLEASE give the project a STAR on GitHub if you find it useful — it would be greatly appreciated!

    🌐 Integrated Civitai Browser

    • Browse Civitai models, LoRAs, checkpoints, community images, and videos directly within the application.

    • Search and filter models by category, architecture, and other criteria.

    • Detect models already installed locally.

    • Download models through a persistent queue with pause/resume support.

    • Organize favorites and interesting models using Archive, Maybe, and Notify lists.

    • Browse SFW and NSFW content using the corresponding Civitai catalogs.

    • Download community images and videos, including bulk downloads.

    🤗 Hugging Face Integration

    • Browse and search Hugging Face models.

    • Download models through an integrated download queue.

    🚀 ComfyUI Generation Integration

    • Generate images directly from the application using ComfyUI.

    • Manage prompt folders and reusable generation configurations.

    • Edit and save generation workflows.

    • Preview generated outputs.

    • Integrate local LM Studio models for AI-assisted prompt editing.

    💻 Desktop Application

Wildcards Manager is a standalone Electron application, built with TypeScript, React, and CodeMirror.

It is not a ComfyUI custom node and can be used independently for wildcard management, editing, and analysis.

    • Windows: Installer only

ComfyUI integration requires additional configuration, but the wildcard editor, validator, graph, and library management tools work independently.

Custom Node and Workflow: Generating images using ComfyUI in the Generation tab requires the prior installation of ComfyUI and the (provided here) additional custom nodes and workflow.

    🗂️ What's new

    v0.11 bug fixes

    • Fixed a bug in the randomization of the line picked in a random generation from prompts files.

    • Critical bug fixed in the LoRA and Checkpoints listing of Civitai which was stopping early and not displaying all some models.

    • Added Single Prompt option so that you can use more easily a multi-line prompt in the textbox, without the need for subsequent lines to start with a comma.

v0.10 generates images with the SDXL family (SDXL1.0, Pony, Illustrious, NoobAI)

    • SDXL generation. Library Manager sets the library to SDXL. Generation hides CLIP, because it comes from the checkpoint. You can replace the VAE (blank keeps the one packed in the file), set CLIP skip (default 2, the Pony and Illustrious training setting), and run a hires pass: upscaler, scale factor (default 1.5), and hires denoise (default 0.5). Sampler and Scheduler show the Comfy name, underscores included. Realistic, Anime, and 3D each keep their own checkpoint and Options. Open WildcardManager-ComfyUI-SDXL-Generation-Workflow.json, set the library to SDXL, then Save Workflow.

    • Browse families. An SDXL library can filter All, SDXL, Pony, Illustrious, and NoobAI. +N new counts the family chip you have open, and those cards go to the front of that grid.

    • Libraries. Each library keeps its own catalog, Archive, Maybe, Notify, LoRA categories, and Generation form, including when two libraries share a wildcards folder.

    • Libraries. Each library keeps its own base models, model family, Civitai categories, catalog, Archive, Maybe, Notify, LoRA categories, and Generation form. Two libraries that share a wildcards folder keep separate lists.

    • Shelves. Those lists live next to the wildcards folder, in <name>.wcm/libraries/<library id>/. The first launch of 0.10.0 copies an old combined library.json into backups/ before it splits the files. Quit completely, tray icon included, then start this build.

v0.9 puts Generation on the Prompts tab, samples coverage the way a real run does, and brings Hugging Face downloads in line with Civitai.

    • Prompts title bar. Style (Realistic / Anime / 3D), checkpoint, seed, and width × height sit on the same line as Once, Infinite, and Cancel. They stay in sync with the Generation tab. Switching style does not change the open prompt file.

    • Width and Height. Swap exchanges the two numbers. Decrease and Increase step to a nearby common size with a close aspect ratio. Both sides are always multiples of 16.

    • Coverage. Each walk picks a prompt folder at random, then a line in that folder, the same way Once and Infinite do. Every folder is equally likely. The count is Settings → Simulation → Iterations (default 10,000). A Rare tab lists the low-reach files, and every tab shows the full list. Cancel stops the run.

    • Missing wildcard. Clicking a “missing wildcard file” error fills the editor search with that name, so every copy in the open file is marked.

    • Hugging Face download. The dialog matches Civitai: category, extra categories, weights, extra comment, and extra prompt. The Hub page is saved on the LoRA or checkpoint, so its page URL opens the repo it came from.

    • Hugging Face cards. When the repo has a sample image, that image is the card cover, cropped portrait.

    • Fixed: there was a bug in the ComfyUI Custom Save Nodes which was not saving properly the KSampler settings in the metadata after I wired its input in the last version.

    • Comment lines. Right-click a selection in the editor and choose Comment or Uncomment. Comment writes #  at the start of each selected line. Uncomment removes that # and the one space after it.

    • Hugging Face. Results are cards. Clicking a repo opens it in a side panel. A download prefers the .safetensors file and saves it as the repo id, with / replaced by -. Finished downloads leave Browse and appear on Downloaded, between Browse and Archive. The LoRA category stays on the last one you used.

    • Benchmark rating. The chart uses the sample folder’s ADS rating when that exists, otherwise the stars you set on the Checkpoint tab. Five stars sorts the same as ADS 10.

v0.8 is a Generation release. A fixed seed now repeats the same image on Once and Infinite, each style has its own Options, and updates install from GitHub.

    • Same seed, same image. Once and Infinite pick the prompt folder and the !gen.txt line from that seed. The Last output crosshair copies only the seed.

    • Dice and shuffle. The dice sets −1, which rolls a new seed from the clock on every image. Shuffle writes one fixed random number and keeps it.

    • Generation and Options. Under Realistic, Anime, and 3D, Options holds CLIP, VAE, Steps, CFG, Sampler, Scheduler, and Denoise. Each style keeps its own values. New ComfyUI nodes cover those KSampler inputs: replace comfyui-lora-training, restart ComfyUI, wire the nodes, then Save Workflow.

    • New subfolder is optional. Settings → AI → Save folder-mode images in a New subfolder is off by default. Folder mode writes {style output}/{prompt folder}, plus /New only when that option is on.

    • Prompt substitutions. Per library, when the checkpoint file name contains a keyword, matching text in the selected prompt is replaced before wildcards expand.

    • Checkpoints per library. Untick Use in this library to hide a checkpoint from that library’s Generation list and Benchmark. The file stays on disk. Other libraries keep their own ticks.

    • Updates from GitHub. With no update folder set, Check for update downloads the installer from GitHub Releases. What's new shows that version’s release notes before you install. A local folder still overrides GitHub.

    • Benchmark chart. Filter by name, sort by rating or a mix of rating and speed, and deleting a sample image frees that slot for the next run.

    • ComfyUI Custom Save Node has been updated to properly handle the saving of the generation metadata when the KSampler connects to input nodes.
