EYE NOTE — the one axis that can break
On a wide full-body frame each iris is only twenty to thirty pixels. At that size a strong specular highlight covers a fifth to a third of the iris and dominates its perceived colour — one eye can read grey-green against a warm brown one.
Two things prevent it. First, keep this in the positive: one small soft catchlight in each eye, both exactly the same size and equally bright.
