About this style

Pallor is a bleak, atmospheric illustration style inspired by gothic horror, dark fantasy concept art, surreal nightmare imagery, and moody painting. It combines soft ink wash and charcoal textures, heavy fog, deep shadows, desaturated palettes, cinematic lighting, and fine film grain, with a single restrained point of cold teal or warm amber light. Its signature is a sense of desolation, silence, and creeping dread, with lone figures dwarfed by ruined cathedrals, empty streets, and monstrous presences.
