Cocaine drops for a toothache, fifteen cents. Radium water for a healthy glow. Heroin for the family cough, arsenic wafers for a pale complexion, and a doctor who smokes for the sake of your throat. Between 1885 and 1948 every miracle came on a card like these, with a smiling face, a sunburst and a headline in fat red capitals. And every one of them sold.
This LoRA learned that page from 46 trade cards, posters and magazine ads of the time, all in the public domain, with their lettering taken off: stippled colour, ink outline, cream stock, the panel waiting for a slogan. What goes on it is up to you.
Use
- Trigger:
adnclsk, first word of the prompt. - Strength 0.7 when the page carries lettering, up to 1.0 for the strongest period look. Below 0.6 it drifts into modern digital painting.
- Krea 2 Turbo, 10 steps, CFG 1, euler / simple, 1024 x 1536.
- Lettering: Krea 2 writes it in period capitals. End the prompt with the words, each in quotes with its place: The only words on the page are the headline "RADIUM WATER" at the top, in bold green period display capitals, and the line "Drink the Glow of Perfect Health" on a cream panel at the bottom. No period right after a closing quote, or it gets printed.
- Boxes, bottles and labels: give them their own words (the word "COCAINE" printed on the small box), or Krea 2 fills them with the trigger.
- Room to letter it yourself: leave the words out and name the space, a wide empty cream area at the top, a blank pale panel at the bottom.
- Skip poster, lithograph, vintage and decade words. The LoRA already brings the period.
- Known quirk: now and then the trigger shows up as a small signature in a corner. Reroll the seed.
Workflow
The ComfyUI workflow is in the files of this version, and it rides inside every image of the gallery: drop one into ComfyUI and it opens with the prompt that made it. Weights from Comfy-Org/Krea-2 on Hugging Face.
The same ads, selling today's miracles: adin.fyi.
