In search of something, we sometimes lose our way. Where is this going? (I don't mean this in a bad way; I like your models)
I want these to be one of the best checkpoints for the western style furry generations
Thus the style keeps changing through out the versions
I want them to have more varieties in species as well
>Enhancing variety of species
New species? What are they?
Cows for example which is requested for long time
Bears, Horses and bunch of others as well
Are you finetuning the species in with a dataset or applying others LoRAs?
@Murf_ No it's more like adding LoRAs into the model
Thanks to the @eleptor812
I did a test of 69 species of furry. Furry like mammals only in my list https://civitai.com/posts/19279634 https://civitai.com/posts/19279747 https://civitai.com/posts/19279779 https://civitai.com/posts/19279799
I had more in the list but "female goatman" did nothing for example.
Most of them did great I think. But it wasn't super fun doing it, someone else can check the birds, fish, aquatic mammals, insects, reptiles and more fantasy creatures.
I've been doing a whole lot of testing with previous models you've made, and have found that over the iterations a lot of edge-case tags stop working entirely or get strongly diluted down. For example, artist tags that got responses in earlier model stop getting responses at all in the newer versions.
Is there any particular reason why this might be happening?
Probably because of the merging process
Upcoming v9B surely have them while keeping extra varieties of species as well
@Crody That's good to hear, will be looking forward to it.
By the way, if you're interested, I made a sort of compilation of all furry races I could make the V7B model respond to (baked into it, no loras): https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1srvHGyq4d2aDqoN2lrYaWJ-bTUw9MqFw
One particular group of popular media breeds that I couldn't manage to get any ping out off of was the Ben10 franchise
Hi, I'm just stopping by to ask you a few things because I'm about to open a page on X and Patreon, and I'm going to use your checkpoint merge to generate the images, I'm going to edit them with style loras and manual editing using Picsart, and I'm thinking about making subscriptions on Patreon, I'd like to know what the clauses are so I can create paid subscriptions, could you tell me so I don't infringe your copyright? I already have a banner made, would you like me to send it to you?
No need to share, just make sure that the details are good to go and compositing finely
@Crody Thank you for your reply, just in case, here is the link to my page: https://x.com/JohnAIWorks, if you need me to take any action, just contact me and I will be happy to do so.
Armadillo girl was impressive I had no idea what to expect.

If anyone can figure out what I need to say to make them sit in the damn innertubes I'd be grateful. Also to make the innertube at least be touching the water!
si
WE ARE SO BACK (That implies we lost but whatever) YOU SIRE ARE THE GOAT
what is the difference between b and a versions???
v.A has the volumetric lighting like the Nova Furry XL Illustrious v5.0 had
v.B has flat coloring which is similar to the Nova Furry XL Illustrious v3.0
Both of them works great
After having done a whole lot of tests with 9B, I've found the model to be a lot less flexible than 7B.
I think 9B would be more useful for people who don't like to try weird ideas and just want the straight-away "small simple prompt with popular species get pretty picture" approach.
But 7B currently remains the strongest model in this series that has better capacity for handling less "common" concepts/furry species.
Less common species? Is there a list of what it will do anywhere? Are the 'bits' added for these or do I have to struggle to find those separately... obligatory 'ASKING FOR A FREN!'
@Davros666 https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1UI5hVpjjbC3TYWT4yOr_krIQS_Pk6aVz I made a compilation of every furry species the 7B model responds to (at least that I could find).
What I'd meant earlier with "less common" is mostly "less popular/used", so stuff like "llama" now practically default the pic into ferals while 7B could better grasp anthros.
@ravnicrasol WOW! Thank You.
@ravnicrasol OMG... I made the mistake of reading the 'OTHER SPECIES - CUSTOM' list.
I am traumatized for life now... because Cthulhu's little sister ghosted me after our 2nd date.
I watched too many Disney and DonBluth movies growing up so cute mice and cute 'chipmonkey' gals appeal to me. It's too late for me. Save Yourselves...
Thank You. Superb Work.
hola!
Is there a list of artists prompts?
https://civitai.com/articles/12081/baked-in-styles-in-the-nova-furry-illustrious-checkpoint
Made by @FrivolousBand10
It includes the collection of styles that Nova Furry XL can
I ran some comparions between the last six versions. Results are here:
https://civitai.com/articles/16831/nova-furry-style-prompt-adherence-testing
Just I can say this is one of the best models, you can make good stuff and simple
is there a list of artists prompts?
the best
what about A and B? 🤔
Heavily trained on females. Even when prompting for males, they tend to end up with female bodies and breasts.
I've had the same problem. Doesn't matter what prompts I used. I can put "((1boy)), male, flat chest, etc...." and I will still get females. It's kinda frustrating really. This is pretty much the best for furries/anthros but ffs why no males?
DoctorAnnihlax Try the YiffyMix NAI model. Works great for males, uses e621 tags (remove the underscores), and I reckon it has better quality than Nova.
Poor eye generation from the distance (as little as a full-body character on a 1024x1356 sheet), anything that can be done with it?
ADetailer should help. Standard face recognition works fine for Furry characters as well
inpainting...
Sq7 Is there an inpainting tool you'd recommend? A lot of my images keep having bad eyes and nostrils.
I have a problem. When generating with LoRa, the images are completely blurry.
Is it not just me!? Im using Krita and its like blurry 80% of the time.
any updates would be appreciated please
Not sure how to explain, but last versions looks more like... AI? While first versions had some style and uniqueness in them
But it is still the best furry checkpoint, no doubt
I agree, I just compared with some older renders and noticed I liked 6A (merged with AnimalV30) more, the outlines are more distinct and character look less "washed out". Since I do macrofurry, I also noticed more issues here, the older ones were more realistic with building destruction and "physics".
Anybody have a workaround or some tips on how to use the FaceDetailer node on comfyui for Furry/Anthro's? I might need to swap the segment model or something, since my outputs are getting their faces fixed (obviously) but turning them human like, I do like the output but wanted to know if there was a specific setting for furries.
Few days late here, but depending on what detailer nodes you are using they should be using detection providers to get the area and then using your prompts to get the actual information to use for the detailing itself. I personally use the Impact Pack and Impact Subpack custom nodes for "UltralyticsDetectorProvider, SEGM Detector (SEGS), and Detailer (SEGS)" and for the providers I use hand_yolov8s.pt to fix hands, and this here for furry faces and anatomy. https://civitai.com/models/1228695/fdetailer-adetailer-for-furries Hope this helps!
FloatsYourStoat Awesome, I am using those packs and node, all I needed was the model perfect, Thanks!
JetlistiC Glad it worked out for you!
I don't mind the laughs but if anybody browses through the over 2k images I've posted there's like 3 to 4 furry-ish ones. I am just testing varied checkpoints to diversify my outputs.
Bring back the older versions for the in-site gen gang
Latests versions are good by themselves, but they lack of that flexibility that the older ones had. The style itself messes up pretty much every style you put as an extra (shading, over contrasted, AI-ish) It just lost that 2d cartoony side :(
Which version do you recommend? Is V2 or V3 okay?
feathersnake I liked v6 - v7 a lot. I dont know the versions below v6 ngl
Unfortunately I can't use this one.
See, I was using a few particular characters like Mew but this new version is downright incapable of getting it right.
Over time, it seems like this model got worse and worse, I think version 7b was peak.
As the time passes, although I feel some part get better but others feels off
I'll bring back those in 10ths
Crody I'll say though
Best furry model overall and by a landslide.
Just be careful not to over-train it. :D
Good luck with your endeavors!
"You cannot use the generated images for commercial use if it's not edited (or just turning it to black and white)"
bro who do you think you are lmao, YOU DIDNT EVEN CREATE THESE IMAGES you fat basement dweller Twat.
U mad bro?
you could always just erase the metadata. nobody has to know lol
When comparing to my older renders e.g. with v6, I also notice that the newer style seems more dull and less vivid. It had more crisp and contrasty colors and outlines before, and it could be wonderfully merged with NovaAnimalXL to create nice hybrid 2.5D looks. Also, it seems that with each iteration, the models gets worse in creating realistic macrofurry scenes. Buildings mostly look square and boring, adding keywords like "destruction, damaged buildings, cracked asphalt under foot, burning buildings, buildings on fire" seem to work less well to get the desired effect. In older renders, when a macro was sitting on a building, the structure was crumbling in an almoist realistic manner, now I can only replicate it with img2img. Please train more macro data, since it's a very popular fetish, and it benefits good-looking cities and towns as a neat side effect. Thank you 🙏 If you drop me a PM, I can provide you visual examples. (I am back to V6b now and happy again)
Would really appreciate if we could use the older models in browser, some people don't have access to stuff like stable diffusion on mobile.
question, why is mine just giving a black screen
What software did you use?
Crody qdiffusion
Megasur This? https://github.com/arenasys/qDiffusion
Try using other software
Crody For example? Not everyone knows exactly where to get it, or at least reliable software.
At the moment, this model does not work with Qdiffusion for some reason.
Mercy12 For example: ComfyUI works greatly
Tested on ComfyUI, Diffusers and Forge
Crody All of the above does not have a Remote, this is the problem, I have an AMD graphics card and the same Comfy, for example, just does not work because there are no CUDA cores that NVIDIA eats (I have an RX7800XT)
Mercy12 I heard that you can use ComfyUI with AMD but that’s not the issue right?
If this is about using them on different computer, I'd recommend search something like "System name" remote
For ComfyUI, using —listen would do the same thing
Crody I just looked at how the installation is done and all this is done through crutches, it looks scary and tedious for the sake of one model, it's not worth it.
Mercy12 Try using webUI / non-UI softwares on Jupyterlab
I usually run models using Runpod but the same thing can be done using local PCs as well I guess
Here's some tutorial:
I'm having an issue with eye clarity and sometimes other parts of the picture being unclear, and I was just wondering whether it had something to do with the workflow I was using?
I've currently tried the SDXL Simple workflow in ComfyUI the Basic txt2img (w/ added clip skip), but I feel like there is something I'm seriously missing.
I've been able to massively help with eye clarity by using the tag photorealistic eyes.
