TL;DR - The best checkpoint for furry, non furry, & scenery pictures that I've used in 2 years.

I rarely comment on things (mostly because I'm a quiet observer), but this is the best checkpoint I've used in 2 years of doing SD, easily.
I've used a lot of other checkpoints, including the recently updated indigo furry mix, and this is EASILY better then those.
Even for non furry art, this checkpoint nails a lot of human characters, and with very little prompting. The detail on the skin/fur is impressive, and without needing any detail loras or what not.
Can I use XL and Pony Lora in this checkpoint?
Yeah, I know the intention for the Nova Animal XL checkpoint is realistic furry porn, but hot damn dude, you've been cooking with the illustrious one. It does weapons, armour, fantasy, scifi, excellent (human) faces, good prompt adherence AND all the fun furry frolic stuff on top. 11/10. Hard to beat that one.
just wishing it'd be better at drawing furry bits instead of sheathed swords
Really, there aren't many quality realistic models based on Illustrious that do more than just human cosplay. And this one is definitely one of those. Hey, great job! Are there any plans for its continued evolution?

The coolest model, very flexible and smart. Thank you very much. Very pleasant. Although I personally always miss the fluffiness of the fur.
Plays well together with the NovaFurry model, cool to achieve hybrid looks. One weakness I found is that "scaled penis" (for dragons, mechas, etc.) doesn't 100% work here, though. It just makes them extra veiny. NovaFurry is more robust in that regard. Other than that, cool!
Hint: If you find a furry looking a bit too flat/dull, add "shiny skin". Even if not 100% realistic, it adds a nice touch of plasticity to the muscles thanks to subtle light reflections!
