This model has been trained on surviving examples of gold glass portraits, an ancient decorative technique developed in ancient Greece and popularised across the Roman Empire. To create the portraits, a layer of gold leaf was spread over a flat disc of glass, and the details of the portrait were created by scraping away the gold leaf with a sharp implement. A second layer of glass was then added over the gold leaf to fix the image in place.

When using this model, expect intense gold subjects on blue or black backgrounds, with areas of swirly distortion and bubble-like imperfections giving an aged and hand-made effect. Clothing and hairstyles tend toward ancient Greco-Roman aesthetics. The model works best with square proportions, and was trained at 512x512 resolution.
