I think that's fine if it's free, but if it's to make money off their work- that's disgusting. I imitate others because I appreciate their works and cannot afford to commission everybody. If CivitAI tries to sell access to these generations at any time, I'm moving them elsewhere. Edit 06-01-2025: CivitAI hid many of my posts because they were edited and re-exported, which removes their metadata. I would have to dig through my drives to find the original images and paste the data back in section by section for prompt, unconditioner, seed, steps, sampler, etc, it requires a large amount of work to correct CivitAI's automoderation actions, I won't be doing that. So unfortunately a few of my best uploads are gone unless that change is reversed.
