• Euler or Euler a or HeunPP2 or Restart sampler, 3 or ~3-6 cfg, ~28 steps
Some versions may also work well with:
• Euler a CFG++ sampler, SGM Uniform scheduler, ~2 cfg, ~28 steps
You can find additional sampler and schedulers via the ForgeUI/a1111 extension here.
---
Euler, 3 cfg, 28 steps is a good starting point for most versions
Hires fix - This is optional of course, and I recommend adjusting any use to your context and application. The example images utilize this both on and off.

Update - Coconut Milk 🌿
A notable version from December that has decent enough qualities to merit an upload in my opinion. This version was used as a merge part in various experiments and other models + having enough unique qualities stand-alone.
This model can utilize long/detailed prompts fairly well, upscaling, character/artist tags, etc. And additionally has some style variance depending on prompt direction (pos/neg), sampler, etc.
As always, feedback is appreciated - Enjoy!
---
Coconut Milk Notes:
• recommended to try Euler A and DDPM samplers first. Try others too, you may notice different styling. (Euler A, 3-5 cfg, ~28 steps)
• try characters and artist tags, surprisingly well utilized
• this version really likes detailed prompts and seems to have decent prompt responsiveness. Furthermore, the styling range seems fairly versatile, with adequate prompt direction. The default styling is somewhat 'anime semi-cgi' oriented.
• utilize style tags to your advantage, positive + negative prompts (this applies to all versions). ie 'anime' in positive, and 'realistic' in negative or vice versa.
• if you have problems with eyes with this version, try hi-res fix and/or adjusting your prompt to orient the character(s) in a closer manner. Check for things like 'full body' to remove or reduce weights on or any conflicting prompting. Alternatively, you can add or remove certain character/artist tags as support.
@Ocean3 Is it only me or does the Coconut version have softer details compared to the Almond and Flax?
@IceB2 should be yes, smoother akin to coconut cream 😂
Also, this model predates both Flax and Almond. Though, there are some potential upcoming versions that either highlight cleaner/smooth details and styling, or some that are messier/more profound. A good amount of variation from various angles with things for different uses/preferences.
This line of models is superb and superlative, it's one of my favourites, and every release is always reliably good. Very solid, very beautiful, detailed and fun to use. Coconut Milk is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your excellent models and all your hard work. I know it is not easy or effortless.
Thank you very much!
Alright mate, gave the new model a proper go earlier. Spotted some examples that ticked all my boxes, so I nicked the workflow into ComfyUI. Ended up churning out these proper messy images - all static and noise, like a dodgy telly signal. Turns out you've gotta dial the CLIP skip layer back to -2 to get it sorted. Bloody typical, innit? 😂
——by deepseek
我试了试新出的模型,看到示例有符合我XP的,就拷贝到了comfyui,结果生成了全是噪点的图,最后发现还是要把CLIP停止层设置到-2 www
逆天 还不如www 翻成lol
I don't know - I don't use ComfyUI or Clip Skip. So whatever would be normal in Forge, I suppose you would have to replicate that. Happy to hear you got things working 👍
@Ocean3 There is Clip Skip in Forge though. I usually set to 2 as well.
@IceB2 Yeah, the only thing I've seen since it's been updated is 'Clip skip SDXL', which is just a toggle, and which I don't use and always had poorer results with/or doesn't do anything.
@Ocean3 Yeah, I don't use that. If you choose the UI as "all" in the upper left corner in Forge, you then have the option to toggle clip skip to whichever value you desire. Cheers, mate !!
@IceB2 I assume this is the same as how I was testing it with xyz plot parameter. I still see no, to very very minor, difference between 1 and 2 for example. Tried a couple samplers.
Nothing like clip skip on SD1.5.
@Ocean3 Oh ok, gotcha !! I never really compared as I usually always have it set to 2 in both, ForgeUI and ComfyUI, but thanks for the heads up 🫡
@Ocean3 Cheers mate! Gave that CLIP stop layer node the boot in ComfyUI like the bloke on Baidu Tieba said - worked a treat innit? Was proper bricking it before coz everyone else kept it in, but the lad wasn't taking the piss after all. My crusty GTX 1650 Ti with 4GB VRAM's shifted gears proper - processing time dropped by a solid 100 seconds, chuffed to bits! Reckon I'll have a butcher's at sorting out those dodgy hand generations next. Still got me kippers in a twist about the fingers though, any pointers?
@ocat85 Did you try using Adetailer or Inpainting to fix the hands ?
@IceB2 Cor blimey! Nearly spat me tea out when I clocked hand fixes need 22 gigs of VRAM - me crusty ol' GPU's having a proper wobbly, innit? Reckon it'd struggle to run a toaster at this rate! Proper gutted mate, this museum piece starts hyperventilating just loading the bleedin' parameters. Might have to stick to drawing mittens with crayons at this point...
@ocat85 First of all, love the way you talk 😂. Second, why would you need 22 gigs to fix the hands mate? I have 8GIGS of VRAM and am doing fine.
@IceB2 They might be using an AI model for translation and it's translating in that British(?) slang lol. I'm also on 8gb vram with everything I do. Should be fine for inpainting. With that said though, I rarely ever use inpainting and try to avoid doing so with that rng mess as much as possible. I opt to manual fix something and then upscale if I edit a generation.
@ocat85 as for ComfyUI, I don't use it so not sure I can be much help. But as you said, you took out some nodes to optimize the generation. Perhaps there is something else you can do to normalize things or add to help with your vram limitations. It'd be slow regardless I imagine as the model is 6+ gb. Forge UI has low vram mode stuff built in and has functioned fairly well for me, but I'm not sure what ComfyUI might have to help with things. If you're adding lora, that will also slow things down. You can try using smaller resolutions too. I've found Euler A/Euler samplers are the fastest compared to others. If you're not running CFG at ~3 or so, try doing so.
@Ocean3 Yeah, I avoid using inpainting as well. I like to edit my images using Krita diffusion, something akin to photoshop but open-source, uses comfyui as backend.
Yeah, I think they're using an AI model for translation as well, just like you said. I read the original comment and I think they're using deepseek.
@IceB2 Right, so I clocked this bit in the hand repair workflow (https://github.com/Xiangyu-CAS/HandFixer?tab=readme-ov-file) where the last step tells ya to sling that fluxl-fill-dev.safetensors malarkey into ComfyUI/models/unet - proper 22GB job! And the step before's got an 8GB model an'all. Spot on, mate. Can't be arsed to use me noggin', so I'm letting the AI do the heavy liftin' with the translation. Gotta keep it proper London like Wuthering Waves' Phrolova - Rachael Lim's voiceover's bangin' innit? Proper Union Jack-waving vibes, if ya catch me drift (s'pose I am now, cheeky).
@IceB2@Ocean3
I've finally cracked why this AI art generator botches hand anatomy. Everyone bangs on about getting perfect hands straight away, but let's face it - Rome wasn't built in a day. Yesterday I spent hours trying to render those specific poses like girls grabbing each other's chests from behind, and the bloody thing kept malfunctioning. Absolutely priceless!
Gave Mr. Wai's supposedly foolproof hand model a spin today - even that went pear-shaped. Right, that's it - I'm retiring from my artistic misadventures. But I must say, this new iteration's handling of basic poses? Hands are absolutely brilliant. Top marks.
@ocat85 Oh ok, I get why you need 22GIGS of VRAM, but there are really more easy ways to fix hands and the workflow you're deploying uses FLUX.1 FILL which is 23.8GB. That's pretty hefty, bruv!
@ocat85 Glad to know you figured it out, somehow 😊
I've started smashing out 2mp / 1536x (1:1 + other rand ratios) pics and noticed a jump in poor generation. Is there a list of suitable resolutions and aspect ratios?
No list - just experiment. Whatever is typical for SDXL, example image ratios, etc. Prompt/samplers may effect this as well. For example, I've had some unique stuff on some models at 1600x512 aspect ratios
@Ocean3 cheers appreciate the feedback
Do the different versions differ in art style?
Base styles, yes. However, you can still create similar styles with prompting (style/artist tags, etc.). Some versions share similar base styling as well.
Almond is a gem! This is my favorite, and maybe the best anime model on the site right now! Cheers!
coconut is best anime model rn, insane ❤️
This is commander Shepard! And this is my favorite model on CivitAi.
Coconut is an outstanding model!
With it I never saw extra fingers or toes and the style is flexible that it can be very close to the lora I used
current fav model thank you , very versatile
I'm confused about the ℹ Notice Are your models actually allowed to be reprinted or not? Because I see reprints on TensorArt, PixAI, and SeaArt anyways. I'm wondering about this because I mainly use TensorArt and Coconut Milk isn't available there and I was considering uploading it there myself. Oat, Almond, Flax, Sierunami and Auronami are there and none of them seem to be uploaded by you. You can go to Tensor's discord in #claim-models to claim them.
Seaart is a mess, they do whatever they want and even make accounts for people without their consent. It's ridiculous and having gone through their support avenues in the past was even more of a mess which resulted in nothing. They would remove models and then just have them reappear, it was a joke.
Pixai I try to manage sometimes, and recently got rid of some duplicates there and left one listing of the uploads for the time being due to inquires and use. That one has each version listed on the page now.
Tensor art, as far as I know, requires verification for uploads - which I fully respect and appreciate. I've uploaded some to their site in the past. I could possibly upload Plant Milk there. Hopefully Civitai will have more generation options in the future again though. If there are models uploaded by others on Tensor art now, I guess I'll have to see about that.
My main point with these types of sites are firstly, the mimicing accounts/auto-uploading, and hosting models for profit connected to their on-site currencies. Alongside the fact I do not want to go to 100 different sites and have to sign up to a ton of random services to "claim" a model. That's crazy ridiculous and this scum-like trend/system needs to change.
great stuff, I love it !
Having used the Plant Milk collection religiously, this is my honest opinion on all the models.
Lora Setup:
Minimal / No Loras: Almond & Coconut
Many / Heavy On Loras: Flax & Oat
Best Use Case:
Almond: Detailed Backgrounds
Coconut: Close up Portrait Art
Flax: Dark/Gritty Stylisation
Oat: Light/Vibrant Stylisation (somewhere between Coconut & Flax)
They are all good, but this is what I found they were best at.
So glad to find a descent model that ISN'T being put on auction and having its generation disabled for the duration of said auction.
This one is pretty good and gave me similar results of NTR mix ( my personal fav ). Very good so far
I really like this model - its foundational style is quite distinctive. You mentioned "view more on Hugging Face", but I can only find 2023 models there. Have you not uploaded this series yet?
'View More' is more a generalization for viewing other various models/resources that aren't on Civitai. To be fair, I haven't uploaded a lot there. Especially with SDXL stuff. However, I plan to have version info and whatever else that will be posted there in the future. So perhaps earlier or experimental version of some things.
Which version are you referring to in particular that you like?
@Ocean3 Thank you for your reply. My favorite is the Flax version – its style is exceptionally distinctive, and its lora compatibility is surprisingly good. I absolutely love it!
From my tests Flax - good for retro anime characters, but makes simple backgrounds and composition (for example, a simple background it will make just a gradient, and the composition and landscape details will not be very good), Almond - good for retro anime characters, but makes complex backgrounds (for example, a simple background (the same task as Flax) it will make a brick wall with cracks and stuff, and the composition and landscape details will be very good). Coconut will also draw a character with stylized proportions, but will paint it closer more to semi-realism. The composition and detail of the background is weaker than that of Flax, and even more compare to the Almond. If you choose 1 model for Retro anime, I advise Almond.
It's the best model!! So smooth~
Love it!! :D
Oh, grand, this model just went on auction and is no longer available to me.. sigh
Ah great. Half way through a workflow with this fantastic model and it disappears.
When will this hateful auction bullshit be dropped like the stinking turd that it is? It’s deeply unpopular, and the only thing I can think of is to use my wallet as a protest. No more money to Civit.
Flax was available as a generation option before the Auction changes/additions. How/if the auction stuff would effect that was unknown. You can see about inquiring for some clarity or to see if the model can be enabled this week for their system. In the future, we'll just have to try to keep remembering about the auction system or see if they change things.
I've been using coconut milk for a little while, and even though it's not my main go-to checkpoint, it is definitely amazing. I've been using it mainly for doing daily challenges, and i even owe it my one and only award (3rd place)
Unfortunately, i haven't really been able to try out the other models...
A lot of people have shown to like Flax if you ever do try them out - thanks for the feedback 👍
Hi. as expected this is the best one I ever used and it's my main since I found it and I'm in love with it's results...but today I wasn't able to use it basically unavailable and I don't know if it's the website problem or some sort of maintenance or upgrading by you so I just wanna know what is going on because I'm lost without it.
Bye😘👋

Update - Hemp Milk 🌿
This version is messy and creative, enjoy!
A refined version of Hemp may be added in the future.
Important Notice:
CivitAI has redesigned their 'Auction' system. This means, if you/we want a version of this model series to be an option for on-site generation, there needs to be additions to the version's 'bid' value. The minimum threshold is 1000 Buzz and 200 available spots for versions to be enabled for generation/featured. This lasts for 1 week per 'cycle' and would need to be repeated if generation availability is wanted. Whether this system will remain as-is is unknown.
Version comparisons are planned, as well as additions to version information.
As always, feedback is appreciated - Enjoy!
---
Hemp Milk Notes:
• recommended to try Euler and HeunPP2 samplers first. (3-5 cfg, ~28 steps)
• messier version with unique creative ability, utilize to your advantage. I noticed some neat stuff at unconventional image ratios.
• lora, character tags, artist tags, etc. may provide more structure in various ways if needed
• prompt -> output variation (I noticed more creative variation in outputs)
• hi-res fix may not do well with this version (nerfs details/softness of images a bit)
• a cleaner/further refined version may be added
Appreciate the heads up, excited to try it out !!
Fun model, quite different and unique compared to my favorite almond
(੭ु´ ᐜ `)੭ु⁾⁾❤❤❤
Amazing style and quality
omg, every edition is a surprise, love it,
Hemp seems to be a very stylish and detailed version, especially when with some visual effects and the character is not nude. But I really don't know how could a nude person be detailed except muscular person.
Hemp milk as a model positions itself somewhere between oat & coconut.
Advantages:
Great compositions (similar to Oat Milk)
Great color and lighting (little better than Coconut)
Details subjects quite nicely
Less fixed in a set style
Almost feels like a small SDXL version of counterfeit
Backgrounds are gorgeous & detailed, overall, it might be the best of the milk series (to be debated)
Disadvantages:
Does not play well with high Lora use
Lots of broken or missing character geometry (hands, legs, toes...etc)
lots of texture merging
requires a ton of wrestling and mucking about to get what you want
decent amount of inpainting work required for end result
will generally require a CFG rescaler if you dont want to use Eula or Heunpp2
Unknowns:
I dont know how this does with Anime or drawn styles
I do not know if this will get a polished upgrade
What this model does better than the other Milk Series models
Main Use Case Scenario:
Backgrounds
Lighting
Colors
"Hemp milk as a model positions itself somewhere between oat & coconut."
Interesting to hear this, the model stems from Flax Milk and Alfmix_v1 (+ a few other resources). This version has a much more 'drawn' appearance in comparison to coconut imo. Coconut's base styling is closer to semi-realistic/rounder. I agree colors are on the more vibrant side for both however. Oat is much smoother detail wise, but I can see some similarities with some aspects, but not overall. To me, Hemp Milk like a wilder/messier cousin to Flax Milk.
"will generally require a CFG rescaler if you dont want to use Eula or Heunpp2"
Nah, i've never used this feature. I just use normal cfg features. I found Euler to have the best overall balance throughout different prompts in terms of general composition/character styling, detail, etc. Heunpp2 was very similar. Other samplers can also work well. All depends on your preference, your prompting, and what you're going for.
"Does not play well with high Lora use"
I wouldn't recommend high lora use for any model personally, this series or any other. People tend to overuse them quite a bit, especially on generation service websites imo. When stacking them together, I find low to medium values work best. And if you're highlighting 1-2 specific lora models, up to ~7-8 as a better value to retain some flexibility and base model functionality a bit more. But that also depends on how the lora model was trained and what weights are best utilized. For example, some lora I've seen don't do much until 1.3-2 ranges.
"Lots of broken or missing character geometry (hands, legs, toes...etc)
lots of texture merging
requires a ton of wrestling and mucking about to get what you want"
This version is messier, yep. This version is meant to have a sort of 'freestyle' approach with unique creative abilities. So in terms of doing some less dynamic stuff, you'd want to keep that in mind. However, to help shape things and give some structure that may be lacking where you want it; lora, artist tags, character tags, or reshaping your prompt in general so there are no conflicting concepts etc. may help out quite a bit. Also samplers and other parameters are a consideration. As far as inpainting, I never recommend that unless it's something that can be changed pretty easily. Otherwise, inpainting is an rng mess that isn't an efficient use of time imo. If I edit an image, I tend to manually fix something and then upscale the image personally. Much more effective most of the time and gives much more control.
"Almost feels like a small SDXL version of counterfeit"
Not sure what you mean by this tbh.
"Less fixed in a set style"
I somewhat get what you mean here, but also kind of disagree. The style I see per say is the messier line details and such, and I think that is pretty prominent. As far as some of the detailing (patterns, fine metal work, that type of stuff) - the detailing is there, however isn't the sharpest or clearest at times. Still adds some qualities overall though.
"Details subjects quite nicely..., ...Great compositions"
Happy to see this being recognized. This was one of the main factors for uploading this version. You can get some very creative and dynamic compositions/character orientation and angle. Using the same prompt and having a high batch count should output a range of pretty different results and compositions.
This model's control over backgrounds and details is astonishing. Even if you input numerous tags in the prompt, the model can still effectively allocate screen proportions and details, and the overall effect is admirable. Amazing job👏
Quick Note:
Lowering step count, for example to 8 steps, may offer some unique styling such as softer/cleaner detailing, softer colors, etc. Primarily to 'alleviate' some of the messier/hard detailing at times of Hemp at 28 steps. This may apply to other versions as well in various aspects.
those models have another level more than wai and hassaku. very impressive
Thanks for the feedback man 👌
I don't know what you put in that mix, but it's really fun to play with. Sometimes it seems too baked with loras and gets messy, but then another model does not output what I want, and I come back to this and it works great.
PS: stay away from heunpp2, it hits really hard on generation times
Thanks man - and yeah if you get too much of an 'overbaked' effect with some things such as details/lines, you could try to lower the step count.
My favorite Model Suite😎
Why was it removed from site generator?

This is the best model on the site. Please make it available for site generation! ;w;

@Ocean3 Yeah, I was using Flax and Coconut! I would love for them to bring it back.
@whoretaker go 'bid' on them then with the 'bid' button
"Auction"/site-generation Update:
If you aren't aware, Civitai reintroduced their 'auction' system in a different way. I'm not the biggest fan, and apparently a lot of others aren't either. In short, if you want a version of Plant Milk to be available for on-site generation, you've got to put a lot of 'buzz' towards bids for them to maybe 'win' one of the 200 available spots.
This past week, I and a few others put a good amount of 'buzz' towards these 'bids'. Each version (flax, almond, coconut, hemp) all had about ~7k 'bid' buzz each, and the placement of each version was around ~150-185th place out of 200. This was checked less than 2 minutes before the week's 'auction' ended. Within those 2 minutes, either a large number of users or scripted bots pushed a lot of models out of that '200' available spots range. All 4 versions of Plant Milk this week were pushed out of that range and 'buzz' was refunded.
This image shows My Bids only and the final 'placement' of each version. https://pasteboard.co/5Rohvsgi4q0Q.png
This image shows majority of the refunded buzz listings as a reference to how many times I checked this feature and bid on versions. https://pasteboard.co/9fu4oXczTQCV.png
This 'auction' system is not great, idk if the last 2 minutes were in fact users, or just bots scripted to bid higher at the last seconds. Availability for on-site generation again will have to be supported by these 'bids' every week if users want them to be. I can still support them as well, but try to be more focused on 1-2 versions. Maybe Civitai will either get rid of or change this system in some way, who knows. For those missing out on using the versions for on-site generation, apologies. I tried to get them available for this week as well as ~6-10 other users. 👍
i like this model very much, out of curiosity, would any additions be to the training data in ur future updates ?
These are checkpoint merges, so whatever the merge parts contain would be additions. Whether that be lora, merges themselves, or other trained models on top of popular base models.
This models is really good! it can produce details skin and background without over brightness or lighting, one problem with this model seems to be the hand/finger part which often has problems, other than that this model is very good, I really look forward to future updates !!
Thanks for the feedback, have you tried the other versions as well? Each is aimed at being separate from the others as different 'flavors'.
so far i tried hemp and coconut, and hemp still win for me in terms of unique style and details.
@Hanekawa01 Flax is a solid option imo and has seen a lot of use. Balanced with compositions, accuracies, detail, creativity, etc. Each version has their own strengths though. Enjoy man
I've been using this model suite for a while now, so I wanted to share my review.
I really like this model suite. Even when I try other ones, I always end up coming back to these — especially Almond, which I like a lot. Flax was my go-to before Almond, and Hemp seems really good too; I just need to spend more time using it.
By the way, if you’re getting little white dots in your images when using Almond, try adding “light particles” to the negative prompts — that usually helps.
Anyway, keep up the great work, @Ocean3
@Rythievakem Always wondered how to get rid of these white dots, thanks for the heads up, mate. Cheers !!
Wow, what a usefull tip, thank you!
Thanks for the feedback man, really appreciate seeing and hearing different perspectives and how different versions are being utilized - you've been sharing some solid images👍
Hello!
I was curious if this is based on Illustrious 0.1, 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0~
Have a nice day!
These merges are based on illustrious v0.1 and Noobai EPS models primarily. Some v-pred version may be mixed in very minor ways here and there depending on merge parts. As for merged in lora models, this ranges from base xl, pony, illustrious, noob, etc. based trainings. Illustrious 2.0+ are not available for use (2.0 is now), and whether or not 1.0/1.1 are mixed in depends on each merge part. Not every merge part lists what was used, so this is mostly unknown. I suspect however, most of the 'trained' models used in early merges (as well as my own) were trained over base noobai v1.0/1.1 eps and illustrious v0.1 models. I've since carried on the various 'series' and added in some new ones from then until now.
@Ocean3 Thank you for informative answer!!! ^.^
yeah i should have figured illustrious 2.0 wasn't used since it just became available for generating and downloading on hugginface recently so there was no way to create a merge
Have a great day!
Update - Vanilla Milk 🌿
A pretty clean version with some semi-realistic detailing to various degrees. I would describe some of the detailing as sharp and clean, as well as smooth in a lot of ways (fill, etc.). This version isn't as creative as some of the others in terms of background detaling/composition, but akin to Coconut/Oat imo in regards to being cleaner with more structure along with some other unique qualities.
Some aspects of the faces may need some prompt direction if too rigged/styled. I haven't used this version much, so I've had limited testing with things. Feel free to try different things out. I noticed artist tags should still have some unique effects and viable uses. This version might be capable (or possibly be more limiting) than I am aware of. Enjoy!
---
Vanilla Milk Notes:
• recommended to try Euler and Euler a samplers first. (3-6 cfg, ~28 steps)
• pretty clean version, clean details and sharpness (especially with upscale/hi-res fix)
• try artist tags
• not as detail heavy in terms of creative details, but can output sharp details

(Hemp) Great model. Overall it works fine. I can produce some pretty interesting images.
Absolute game-changer! PlantMilk Almond isn’t just another SD checkpoint—it’s a genius-level artistic collaborator. This model consistently delivers jaw-dropping, gallery-worthy art with surreal clarity and imaginative depth. Whether you’re crafting ethereal fantasy scenes or hyper-detailed sci-fi worlds, it just gets it—like it reads your creative mind
Can't even find any Milk Checkpoints because of bid.
According to 'auction' page, 5 versions of Plant Milk should be available. ~2 hours have passed since. If there's no issue, I would expect they will be available soon. But if not, ask Civitai team if they know what's going on. I wasn't refunded the buzz, and the versions say they weren't refunded.
@Ocean3 I just checked again and it's up in the search bar! :)
"Auction"/site-generation Update:
Vanilla, Hemp, Coconut, Almond and Flax are all available for on-site generation this week. I appreciate those who supported the 'bids' for those who want to use the models, thanks 👍. Remember, if you want to continue using a model, you have to bid for each one each week. Enjoy!
Huge News !! Congrats, mate !!
