Run flux with negative prompting via 2 different methods in ComfyUI. Tested on a 16GB RTX A4000 and the fp8 dev model. Affects performance dramatically - approx 2x slower with Dynamic Thresholding, approx 3x slower with Perpendicular Negative Guidance, but it works.
The Flux.1-schnell and merged dev-schnell models don't appear to be compatible with either method.
Demo pics: Prompt is "4k photo, high quality, in a European forest,"
Negative Prompt is " "path, trail"

Thank you for putting this together.
~35-40 sec per generation on A6000, but it works pretty well.
I am not sure how responsive Flux models is to negative prompts in general, but its certainly somewhat responsive.
i can't get it working properly. I want a bedroom without windows. I put windows in the neg. I still get windows. can't find a tutorial about how to actually use the negative-related nodes
I don't have a tutorial to go with this workflow but there would be others that do.
There's some control over the negative - The negative scale can be increased with the PerpNegGuider workflow, and the CFG can be increased with the DynamicThresholding workflow.
I've also seen good results from increasing the negative guidance value so I've just updated the "Adaptive Efficiency" workflow to allow setting it separate to +ive guidance. Otherwise it's trivial to implement with FluxGuidance nodes.
Negative prompting is also implemented in forgeUI when the CFG > 1, and works with DynamicThresholding Integrated.
No something's wrong it's not working for me either. Looks like PerpNegAdaptiveGuider isn't working anymore and idk why.
I've uploaded a new workflow that doesn't use PerpNegAdaptiveGuider, should work fine.
@the_sausages Since I last tried your previous version, I had read from many sites (and was told directly) that Flux simply does not listen to negative prompts. I'll try your new version but if it still doesn't work, i'll believe its true.
@the_sausages Nope. My test still fails. If you want to convince me it can work, send me a DM and we'll talk about methods
@CoCatgirl I'm sorry it's not working for you. The pics I've uploaded show that it can work, but I don't know why PerpNegAdaptiveGuider isn't working and if that can fail then any of it can fail.
@CoCatgirl The Flux model is not like SDXL or sd 1.5 and, from what I read for that there is no negative prompt. seeing a workflow with negative prompt, I was surprised.
One of the solutions is to go through sdxl (with a lightning to save time) then to make an image to image under flux + upscale.
@diaserikcg114 I tried to apply it to an image that uses loras but without results, there are some minor changes in the images i make, but not really related to the negative prompts i type, the image in general stays the same
Need to use the new node "Flux Guidance" from ComfyCore. It works, but only with a few negatives. Can't have a full list. Also, FLUX reacts better to "prose"-like sentences than just words, the flux dev said.
Hello thank you for your WF, can you add lora support?
Done!
