Hello there and thanks for checking out this workflow!
What's new in v12? : Fixes and SubGraphs compatible with the latest ComfyUI Updates!
—Purpose—
This workflow provides a simple, solid and reliable way to efficiently inpaint images to perfection!
I hope this proves to be a useful tool to you!
—Features—
LoRA support
Batch Processing
Flexible Before/After Preview for any batch size and mask amount
Image Filter to cherry pick
Tutorial guide for nodes and settings in dedicated ►INFO boxes
—Common Issues—
ValueError: Width and height must be >= 0
→ Make sure you masked an area on the node named "Mask"
—Custom Nodes—
All of which can be installed through the ComfyUI-Manager
—Troubleshooting—
If nodes show up red (failing to load), check the 'Install Missing Custom Nodes' tab of the ComfyUI Manager for the missing node packs and install them.
Please check if all custom node packs load properly after installing, i.e. no
(IMPORT FAILED)messages next to any of them in the console upon ComfyUI startup.Always reload/drag'n'drop the original, downloaded workflow file into ComfyUI to reload an intact version of the workflow.
→ The last opened workflow that appears on startup shows a cached version of the workflow, "remembering" group nodes that failed due to missing nodes as failed, keeping them broken even after having everything installed correctly.
—Thanks—
The workflow would not be possible as is without these custom node packs. If you want to support the custom node creators, give them a ⭐ on their github repos! Thank you!
Feel free to ask any questions, share improvements or suggestions in the comment section!
Also let me know if you encounter any confusing points I can elaborate on and focus on improving for the next update!

Reports that it cannot install WAS Node Suite, Comfyroll Studio and ComfyUI_essentials. Gives an import failed.
Hey there,
did you update everything, including ComfyUI's frontend? In case you have it set to a specific version in the "run_nvidia_gpu.bat" file, that would cause issues.
Did you check the respective custom node pack github issues?
@RedPinkRetro The problem started when I updated to the latest version of ComfyUI. Before that, everything worked without problems.
Yes, ComfyUI_essentials causes multiple problems because it is outdated, and the author says the repository is in maintenance mode only.
Everything is up to date and works fine on my end. I know the essentials pack is in maintenance-only, but it doesn't cause me any issues. Are you using a specific frontend version or have the custom node packs set to remain on a set version through the manager?
All node packs you listed are very commonly used and popular, so many people with different setups run these and report issues whenever something breaks.
If the github issues of the packs don't turn up anything for your import fail case, chances are something more fundamental might have gone wrong during the setting up of ComfyUI. Or maybe it's another custom node pack interfering by causing a dependency conflict to those nodes.
If any of your installed node packs are rather niche, new or less known (~<100 ⭐ on Github) you could try disabling/uninstalling those to see if reinstalling the failed ones manages to work
@RedPinkRetro (I don't speak English, I used DeepL to help me in this text)
sorry, I'm still a bit of a ComfyUI noob. Hehehe.
The ComfyUI I have is up to date but it also has other CustomNodes that maybe affect.
This weekend I'm going to try to put a clean version and test again. But in other WorksFlows of other creators, it already gave me problems.
As soon as I do it I will write you again and tell you the errors it gives. Thanks for everything.
They are not installed on the clean version either. I have a portable version. A friend of mine, whom I asked to check this workflow, had exactly the same problem. I emphasize: neither he nor I had such a problem before updating ComfyUI to the latest version.
However, it is not surprising that problems arose, since the author of the node last updated it in the summer of 2024.
@amokiller178
Alright, no worries.
If other workflows caused similar issues you might have an issue with your ComfyUI setup itself. The actual errors you get would likely help figuring out what's wrong. Also check the github issues of the respective node packs for your errors, as that is where you'd most likely find a solution.
@Ptiz
When you run into installation issues with the essentials pack, WAS and Comfyroll, even on a fresh ComfyUI, there is likely something specific to your system that is causing that, since WAS for example is very frequently updated and has a large amount of users, which means there is a lot of feedback and fixing. WAS is one of the most polished and reliable node packs in my experience.
Your friend running into the same issues might stem from you both sharing some commonalities in your setups. When you check for the specific errors you're encountering during the installation attempts on the respective node pack's github issues (aside from essentials) and can't find your case, you could open an issue and get the node author's to take a look.
You can also share the errors here and I can take a look, but at the end of the day I'm just another regular user myself, but I might recognize the issue.
LOVE this! Just found this. I've been looking for an Illustrious Inpaint workflow for ages (seems like it anyway). Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hey there, thank you so much! 🙌
I just saw your message now, so excuse the delay 🙏
A new version is incoming btw.!
does this contain some hidden nsfw filtering? i use a test image to change a women in a crop top to a bikini top. this is the only workflow i've tried that doesn't work. it just changes the breast size not the top :? will continue testing, just curious.
Hey there, didn't see this message until now!
And no, there is no content filtering whatsoever and there never will be 😄
Maybe the amount of denoise you tried was not enough to make the change happen which can also depend on the sampler-scheduler combo.
There is a new update incoming and if you happen to get that impression, let me know and I'll help you out 🙌
im getting "Create Grid Image from Batch
Width and height must be >= 0" every time i try to do anything. also why are there two slots for the inpaint image? you really out to do a tutorial or something for this m8
Hey there,
a solution to this is now in the newly added —Common Issues— section 🙌
none of the sliders work on mine, cant change denoise or anything
Hey there, I'm not surprised, it's been a few months and some breaking updates have rolled in meanwhile. There will be an update later today 👌
